Annual Image Competition Categories

The following definitions establish the scope for categories in the Austin PPA’s annual competition.

• Enter the category that best represents the intent of each image.
• If you are not sure which to use, contact the Competition Committee for category guidance
• The committee reserves the right to move entries into different categories if they think an image has been entered in the wrong one.
• We will contact the maker an notify them of the change and give them the opportunity to discuss. 
• If there are less than 3 entries in a category, that category will be eliminated
• The committee will reach out to entries submitted to advise the maker which category we plan to move their image into and give them the opportunity to discuss.
• Committee's category decisions will be final.
• Images generated with text-based AI tools are not permitted.
• Tools like Topaz and NIK filters, Adobe's Lightroom and Camera Raw filters, and Photoshop's Neural, high pass, Evoto and Capture One and other filters are all permitted.
