Photographer of the Year Points Summary  

Monthly Image Competition: 2 images per person max 

• 1 point for entering one or two images in a given month.  
• Speaker's Choice: 1 point (speaker/judge picks favorite image from all images submitted)
  
• 1st Place: 3 points 
  
• 2nd Place: 2 points 
  
• 3rd Place: 1 point  
  
• (Ties will be broken by speakers/judges choice before winners are announced) 

Monthly Competition Max Numbers

• If you were to take 1st place & 2nd place with two entries, speaker’s choice, and enter at 10 monthly meetings 
  
• 30 points – 1st Place 
  
• 20 points – 2nd Place 
  
• 20 points – Entering 2 images max
• 10 points - Speakers/Judges choice 
  
• 80 points Max for Monthly Image Competition 

Annual Image Competition - 1 case (4 or 5 images) per person 

• Images must score 80 or above for photographer to be awarded points for that image 
  
• Lowest scoring image is dropped.
• 1 point per case entered 
  
• Highest Score for Case: 6 points + Trophy 
  
•  (Tie Breaker: Drop lowest score and average remaining submissions.  Higher average breaks tie.) 
  
• Best of Show (highest scoring image) (1): 5 points +Trophy 
  
• 1st Place in each category (Portrait, Illustrative, Nature): 4 points + Trophy 
  
• 2nd Place in each category (Portrait, Illustrative, Nature): 3 points + Ribbon 
  
• 3rd Place in each category (Portrait, Illustrative, Nature): 2 points + Ribbon 
  
• Merit scores (80 or above) (4): 2 points

(Scenario: You enter a case, get highest case score, highest scoring image, 1st place in each category, 2nd in one category with 4th image, and you receive an 80 or above on all 4 images, and album.) 

• 1 point per case entered 
  
• 6 points - Highest Case (1) 
  
• 5 points - Best of Show (highest scoring image) (1) 
  
• 12 points - 1st Place in each category (Portrait, Illustrative, or Nature) 
• 3 points – 2nd Place in one category (Portrait or Illustrative for example) for fourth image
  
• 8 points – Top four Merit Scored - 2 points each
  
• 35 points Max for Annual Image Competition
