Painting your photographs doesn’t need to be difficult or time consuming. And, it also doesn’t have to look like you pushed one button to apply a painting filter. There’s no need to go out and buy Corel Painter to make your photographs look like they have been painted. Photoshop is the perfect place for photographers to paint. We already know the program, and are familiar with most of the tools needed to create a one of a kind piece of art.

Katie Amber CPP has been trained in both Corel Painter and Photoshop for painting photographs, and Photoshop is definitely her clear choice for painting photographic images. The learning curve is far less steep, than learning an entirely new program, and it’s much simpler to use just ONE program. Many of the photographers who use Corel Painter to paint their images, laboriously move from Photoshop to Painter, and back again, repeatedly throughout the process. When you learn how to do all of your painting in Photoshop, you will save hours of time and frustration, and you will learn to enjoy the process… not to mention creating a new stream of income and differentiating brand for your photography business.

In this class, Katie will teach you from start to finish how she creates a painted image from a photograph. You will learn the two main Photoshop tools that she uses, and you will have plenty of time during the class to practice the new skills you learn. By the end of the class, you will have everything you need to create your first painting. If you are a high achiever, you may even have your first painting finished.

Even if you have taken classes in Painter before, this class is a MUST, if you want to create paintings quickly enough to offer them to your clients at a high profit margin. Several of Katie’s painted images have earned merit scores in the International Print Competition, and what you will learn in Katie’s class will provide you with the foundation to do the same with yours.

This class has been approved by PPA for one continuing education merit for each attendee. (approval in progress)
